About RON

What is Remote Online Notarization (RON)?
Remote Online Notarization (RON) is the process of having a document notarized by a commissioned notary over a live, two-way video connection. Instead of meeting in person, you connect with the notary via a secure video platform (we use BlueNotary), verify your identity, and sign your document electronically. The notary then applies their digital seal — creating a legally binding, notarized document.
Is remote online notarization legally valid?
Yes. As of 2024, 47+ states have enacted RON laws that give remote online notarizations the same legal validity as traditional in-person notarizations. Additionally, under the Interstate Recognition principle, most states recognize RON documents notarized in any RON-authorized state. Our notarizations are performed under Maryland law and are accepted by lenders, courts, title companies, and institutions nationwide.
Is my information secure during a RON session?
Absolutely. BlueNotary uses AES-256 encryption, biometric identity verification, and blockchain document fingerprinting. Every session is recorded and stored securely for 10 years as part of the legally required audit trail. Kimberly's background as a Law Enforcement Professional and Real Estate Title Company specialist since 2004 means she takes document security seriously — your documents are handled with the same standards applied to law enforcement records and real estate title closings.
What states does Synergystic Notary serve?
We serve clients in all 50 states. While RON laws vary by state, our notarizations are performed under Maryland's RON statute and are recognized across the country. If you have a specific concern about your state's acceptance of RON documents, we're happy to discuss it before your session.
How long does a RON session take?
Most sessions take 15–25 minutes from start to finish. Identity verification takes about 3–5 minutes, and the signing itself depends on document complexity. Simple documents (like a single power of attorney) are often done in under 15 minutes. Complex loan signing packages may take 30–45 minutes. You'll receive your notarized document immediately after the session.

Services & Documents

What types of documents can be notarized online?
We handle a wide range of documents: powers of attorney, affidavits, real estate documents, loan signings, business agreements, trust documents, healthcare proxies, advance directives, apostille facilitation, and more. If you're unsure whether your specific document qualifies for RON, contact us and we'll let you know before you book.
Do you offer same-day appointments?
Yes. We offer same-day appointments depending on availability. Evening and weekend slots are also available. Book directly through our BlueNotary scheduling page — available times update in real time. For urgent needs, you can also contact us directly at info@synergysticnotary.com or call 771-233-6493.
What is apostille facilitation?
An apostille is a special authentication certificate attached to a document to make it legally recognized in foreign countries that are members of the Hague Convention. We facilitate the apostille process by coordinating notarization, certification, and submission to the appropriate state authority. This is commonly needed for documents used internationally — birth certificates, power of attorney, diplomas, and more.
Can I have multiple signers on the same document?
Yes. Multiple signers can participate in the same RON session or sign separately — each party simply needs to complete their own identity verification. This is commonly done for real estate transactions, business agreements, or any document requiring co-signers. Let us know when booking if multiple signers are involved so we can accommodate accordingly.
What if I need to reschedule or cancel?
No problem. You can reschedule or cancel directly through the BlueNotary booking platform, or contact us by email or phone. We ask for at least 2 hours' notice for cancellations when possible, but we understand that schedules change. Just reach out and we'll make it work.
